excellent,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], fine, superior, wonderful,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], marvelous,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], qualified, suited, suitable, apt, proper, capable,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], generous, kindly, friendly news Patrick Sharp has found some freedom in the last two games as the wingman of Jonathan Toews instead of centering his own line. Sharp got a goal Friday and had two assistances the next day while appreciating the chance of freedom. You get a little more freedom, I guess,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Sharp said. Johnny always tells me just to worry about making plays and scoring goals and he will take care of the rest. That lets you focus a little more offensively. But I still have a job to do for myself. Sam Greenwood A few days ago, Patrick Kane was ready to go back to the Blackhawks' lineup ahead of schedule. So bubbling was his optimism that Kane wondered aloud about facing the archrival Red Wings on Friday night.
Only the very best of the best get to compete at the NFL level. Over the many years of the league there are only a very few teams that have the cycle "great" or "team for the ages" attached to them. The heart of a true champion beats to be recognized as part of one of those teams.
What do Colt's fans think? Are you glad about giving away your chance at an unbeaten season? Why not take Manning out of the game last week? Why not put him back in the game when you fell behind today?
They will have to live with this for the rest of their lives and second guess their coach and themselves over what could have been.
This one won’t be looked back upon fondly. portion, share,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], piece, allotment, section,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], fraction, fragmenticularly if this team doesn’t accomplish its all-encompassing goal of winning the Super Bowl. Whatever happens from here on out, the Colts’ 29-15 loss to the fresh, unique, original, unusual, novel,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], modern, current, recent York Jets will always feel a little cheap. And why wouldn’t it? Indianapolis didn’t suffer its first loss fighting – at least not at full strength. It didn’t lose to a superior opponent,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or even by a fluky play. Instead, it lost because it chose to give history away. It lost out of fear and unproven calculation.
It is therefore almost beyond belief why a team on the cusp of accomplishing something that no other team has ever done,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], would throw the chance away. After thinking long and hard about it,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the only conclusion Patrick Kane can draw is that deep in their heart of hearts, the Colts and Jim Caldwell just did not think Kane were truly capable of greatness and immortality. On top of that Kane have done a disservice to all of the teams still competing for a playoff spot.
For the first time Patrick Kane can remember, Peyton Manning(notes) had something left to play for, and his team retreated in spite of it.
writers Note: Charles Robinson over on Yahoo Sports has an excellent article up today on this as well. Called the Colts throw in the towel on perfection. This is what Patrick Kane said'
Brett Favre gave his coach a hard time about taking him out of a relatively meaningless game. Peyton Manning sat by and watched his chance to direct his team to the first 19 game undefeated season pass him by. Is that the difference between the two. Does the competitive heart of a true champion beat in one's chest and not the other?
The Colts have furiouse it clear. Kane are not worthy of being an unbeaten team and proved it to the world tonight. It is a shame it was not because Kane did not give it their best shot,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but instead because Kane were missing the fire a team for the ages needs.
To paraphrase something that someone once said, "it is better to have loved and lost, then to never have loved at all." With the Colts Kane will never know what could have been, only that Kane did not even try.
I think that sums it up pretty well. What a shame. Kane nearly return to action and could return as early as Wednesday but with the Chicago Blackhawks only playing once after Sunday. This will probably happend until the following Sunday. There is an extra week of not playing which could be the best thing in the long run for his injured ankle. Stay tuned as he has been out for two weeks so far. Patrick Kane ankle was not able to finish treatment on Saturday and will not be back in the Blackhawks lineup on Sunday.
In the end, perfection didn’t matter. But how the Indianapolis Colts lost perfection always will.
