The commander of Russian Airborne Troops, Lieutenant-General Vladimir Shamanov was wounded in a road accident Saturday, Russian media reported.
The accident occurred Saturday morning in the Zarechensky district of the Tula region,Wedding dresses, when the driver of the BMW limousine died at the scene, RIA Novosti news agency reported.
Shamanov was injured and sent to hospital immediately, Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov said.
The acting commander of the Tula regional airborne compound Alexei Naumets, who was travelling with Shamanov,Tiffany Jewelry, was also wounded and hospitalized.
According to preliminary investigation, the accident was caused by a truck driver who drove into the opposite direction lane, the Interior Ministry told media.
Calling Shamanov a "strong man,Tiffany Jewelry," Serdyukov said he will get better and continue to command the airborne troops.
Shamanov was appointed as the commander in May 2009.
