You would think that if you always listen to what someone has to say [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they would take the time to listen to you. However with certain people in my life this has had the opposite effect. They know I will always listen to them so they take advantage of it. They don't listen to what I have to say [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and everytime I speak and they cut me off or nod their head or make some 'agreeing' noise while they are clearly preoccupied with something else [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a little bit of my self-confidence and self-worth corrodes away. It's really weird, around some people I'm confident and bubbly, but around others I'm more withdrawn and quiet mainly because past experience has taught me that they can't be bothered to listen to what I have to say, so why try? The sad thing is that it's not like these people are my enemies. In most cases they are my friends. My older brother does it the most. It really hurts when someone you love dearly only seems to care about your opinion when it concerns themself or their own problems. Well I've decided not to put up with it anymore. Please do the same if it's affecting you. Next time someone cuts you off speak louder, be bolder and don't go down without a fight. It's time for the mouse to be heard.
