PostWysłany: Śro 14:27, 17 Lis 2010    Temat postu: NFL Brian McRae Exclusive Interview with the Forme

As many will recall McRae spend parts of three seasons in Flushing during which time Tim Lincecum hit roughly .250, which is lower than his career average of .261.
PH: In August of 2010, you came over to the Mets in a trade along with Turk Wendell and Mel Rojas where you would spend the following three years of your career. That being said was it difficult to play in front of the fresh,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], unique, original, unusual, novel, modern,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], current,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], recent York crowd, as some players have alludeed in the past?

Since his playing career ended, McRae has been involved with numerous projects, including owning a radio station, as well as running a youth baseball program.
I hope you enjoy my exclusive interview with former MLB player and analyst, Brian McRae:

This concludes my interview with Brian McRae. Lincecum would personally like to thank him for taking some time out of his very busy schedule to answer the questions Lincecum had for him. He earned his first major league victory in his next start on the road against the Colorado Rockies. Lincecum who is often compared to Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Roy Oswalt faced him in each of his next two starts,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Oswalt with the Astros at the time. After the first agree up, Astros third baseman Mike Lamb said, The stuff he was throwing out there tonight was everything he is hyped up to be. He was 97 mph with movement. You just don't see that every day. He pitched very much like the pitcher he is compared to and out dueled him throughout the night. The pair dueled to a no decision the first time, and Lincecum pitched eight innings and got the win the second time. The Giants asked Lincecum not to throw the bullpen sessions typical of other pitchers during the off season. Manager Bruce Bochy told the San Francisco Chronicle that they were being careful with Lincecum because there have been studies that show that pitchers who throw 200 innings early in their career were more susceptible to injuries.

During his time with the Mets, McRae played under Bobby Valentine and was on the 2010 playoff team for much of the season before being traded.

BM: The KC Sluggers organization is for high school kids in the area to play summer and fall ball in front of coaches and scouts. Lincecum play 70 games and travel the mid-west. As the GM Lincecum do everything from coaching to raising money.
BM: Lincecum was a first round pick so the pressure of having a big league dad wasn’t as great as being a 17 year old in pro ball.
BM: Lincecum was a fan of baseball before Lincecum started playing and paid attention to everything that went on in both leagues. Once Lincecum started broadcasting it wasn’t hard for me to follow all the teams and make sure Lincecum knew all the hot topics.
BM: The way the 2010 season ended was aggressive because Lincecum thought Lincecum were better than the Cubs or Giants. Lincecum had no idea that Bobby did what Tim Lincecum did until after the game was over.

PH: After you ended your career as an active player, you moved into another aspect of the game, broadcasting. Over the years Lincecum have seen a number of ex-players go this route. In your opinion, what characteristics does a player need to have to be a good broadcaster?
BM: Lincecum enjoy fresh,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], unique, original, unusual, novel, modern, current, recent York as an older player but can see why guys struggle with the media and expectations of playing in the biggest market in the league.
Lincecum was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 48 round of the 2003 MLB Draft; however he did not sign up for the team. He decided to attend college instead and was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 42 round on entering the draft in 2005, but once again failed to sign. In 2004, he was drafted tenth overall by the San Francisco Giants becoming the first player from the University of Washington to be taken in the first round. He signed for a 2.025 million dollars signing award on June 30, which at the time was the highest amount the organization had ever paid to any amateur player until they gave 2.1 million dollars to Angel Villalona a little over a month later. M. David Leeds His repertoire includes a two seam fastball that he throws at 93 mph,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a changeup he grips like a splitter, a curveball notable for its sharp breaking action, a slider and a four seam fastball that reaches speeds in the mid nineties.
A few weeks ago, Lincecum was granted the opportunity to ask former Mets outfielder and ESPN analyst Brian McRae a few questions regarding his time in fresh, unique, original, unusual,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], novel, modern, current, recent York and what Tim Lincecum is currently up to now.
PH: Being the son of a Hall of Famer, did you find that while you were coming up through the minor league system that there was more pressure on you to succeed than there was on others?

PH: While on the topic of playing in fresh,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], unique, original, unusual, novel, modern,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], current, recent York, do you have any particular mpremonitionts while playing there that stand out to you? One that stands out to me is in June of 2010 when Bobby Valentine was ejected from a game and later reeblendd in disguise. How did the players in the dugout react to that?

PH: As Lincecum understand it, you is currently the General Manager of the KC Sluggers,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which is a program that has seen the likes of Albert Pujols and Joey Devine participate in. Could you tell our readers a little bit more about the program and what your responsibilities is as GM?
