Wal-Mart's 5-Year "Health" Plan - Slashfood

Similar initiatives have been made by the city of New York and major food corporation ConAgra, which set a goal to "reduce sodium content in its foods by 20 percent by 2015," notes the Times.The company's plan is to "reduce sodium by 25 percent, eliminate industrially added trans fats and reduce added sugars by 10 percent by 2015," says the Times. Wal-Mart also plans to develop a criteria for "healthy" foods and to create a label to signify products that comply.
